KidSim (1994) - Cocoa (1996) - Stagecast Creator (1999)

Stagecast Creator, originally from KidSim and Cocoa was produced at Apple Computer and released as a commercial product by the Stagecast company. Stagecast Creator is a rule-based system, which means, the program behavior is caused by matching rules with the current state of the program and executing the instructions of the matched rules. It uses rules known as ‘before and after’, similar to ‘if-and-then’ rules, and they are graphically defined. It was observed that this method works well in the intended domain of a programming environment for children.
